CODE 41

Well, I was trying to burn a DVD and I had done all the necessary initial steps and then clicked on BURN button in the NERO and it turned out to be a error.

The error said there are some problems with the filters ( both upper and lower filter) so i goggled and found the appropriate solution to that, here is the most effective solution to the CODE 41 error. To find the code number to the error,

1) Right click on My Computer, click manage.
2) A window titled Computer Management opens.
3) Click on device manager.
4) Click on CD/DVD drivers.
5) Right click on the cdrom device and click properties
6) In the general tab you will see the current status of the driver

To resolve this behavior, follow these steps:
Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).

Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.

Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
