Google Mars is a two year old experiment being continuously improved with our feed backs, its similar to Google earth but the only difference here is that you cannot see any cars, rivers, clouds, etc etc as u see in earth.
Here the craters, mountains, ridges, dunes, canyons, plains and elevations are the only thing u can see , however this is just a experiment which Google is carrying out over a long period of time, to get an hands on experience of Google just follow this link.
